⇨ i know its hard for my mom to understand but she really needs to let go. i know some people may think like, 'oh you have alot of privileges already, still ask her to let go!' i know this is going to sound spoilt but its not enough. Letting go means you allow me to have more freedom as i grow up, i'm fucking 20 this year. 20. my age starts with a number 2 and its double digits! i sure as hell don't have to beg you to let me stayover at a friend's house. i don't have to make a fuss over going overseas with my friends ( including boyfriend, cause you just don't trust me) and its like i have to keep lying to you. i don't drink, i don't smoke, i don't club, i don't have any tattoos (even though i've been thinking of getting a tinkerbell and the 6 fairies tattooed down my back but thats another issue) and you just think i'm a teenager who can't control her hormones and urges and assumes that if me and my boyfriend are in my bedroom with the door closed, we're creating an environment to have sex. We were actually watching Rapunzel on my laptop, with the AC on so the door had to be closed. Honestly?! If any one should grow up and change her mentality, it should be you. Fine, i won't be able to go on the Bangkok trip, but i'll be mad pissed if ______________ and i don't get to go. And the thing about friends from church make better friends. Its not true. Of course with the exception of Jo, cause she's been my best friend throughout secondary school. But I do know people who go to church and still smoke and do all the stereotypically ''bad'' things, just to prove your point wrong. And i don't have any friends from church, because i don't really enjoy mixing with them. Believe me, i've tried. But somehow we don't really click and well, that's that. Only if i can go overseas with people from church, or if its a church trip, then i can go. Cause what? Christians have better self control and better qualities as a person than non-christians? thats just bordering on racisim, except its got to do with religion. I don't know if there's a term for it. SIGH SO RANTY. the up side is, that i asked her if D's dad brought us to malayisa to stay in his house overnight, without D's mom of course, if she would allow. and she said yes, because there's a parent involved and i could stay for as long as a week, with my dad's permission. and my dad is relatively easier to tackle cause although he's stubborn he can be worked with, but my mom takes a super long time and a bucket of fucking tears, then she'll get it. urghhhh why can't i have more open minded parents. i definitely won't be like this when i get to be a parent next time. What era already, still live with such a traditional mindset. |
